Roasting Pumpkins

Thanks for listening to my little rant yesterday. I feel better and I'm going to love every minute not trying to make myself something I think others would like.

Growing up, we never carved our pumpkins. We painted them with acrylic paint so it could be washed off and my mom could cook the pumpkins. I picked up a couple of leftover pie pumpkins the other day because, well, we never got around to buying any for Halloween.

In case you ever wanted to know, this is how to bake a pumpkin... or at least how I do it!
First, wash your pumpkin. Then cut it in half with a good sharp knife. I've heard a serrated knife will slip less. I have no idea if that's true or not, but be careful.  I actually put an oven mitt on my left hand that was holding the pumpkin as I cut with my right. Scrape out all of the seeds and flesh. A grapefruit spoon, you know the spoon with the little teeth on the end, works great for this. Place the pumpkin cut side down in a baking dish or roasting pan and poke a few holes in the skin with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees until your pumpkin is done. This little pie pumpkin only took 30 minutes. When it's done you'll have soft steamy goodness that can be used where ever you would use can pumpkin. When it comes out of the oven, I flip it over, cut side up and let it cool, then spoon it out of the skin and refrigerate for a couple days or put it in the freezer to keep longer.

I am who I am

Let me share some things about myself that you probably don't know. I live a technology reduced life and I love every minute of it. I don't text. I don't have Caller ID. I don't know the first thing about instagram or Twitter. I don't even have long-distance. I have very few friends because all of this. People that I know just don't get it and then don't invite me, never think of me because I don't text. And I figure if they can't understand my lifestyle then they aren't a true friend. I use facebook and it's mostly to post photos of my girls for my family that live 600 miles away and to get updates from my favorite craft/sewing blogs and pages. Probably only 10% of my facebook usage is actually interacting with people.

My husband is my best friend. We do everything together and with our girls. And we do everything for our girls. With every year of my life I'm less afraid to be the true version of myself. After turning 31 a week ago, I feel it even more. I don't want to spend any time over the next year wasting time. I am who I am and that's all I'll ever be. I can't wait to find those true friends who love ME!

7 Questions: Halloween Edition!

This is me as a kid as a rabbit... I remember my mom making this costume still. There was wire in the ears to make them stand up.

1. Do you believe in ghosts? No
2. Do you prefer the cute or the scary Halloween? Definitely cute
3. How old were you when you stopped trick or treating? The last time I remember going was probably when I was in 5th or 6th grade.
4. Do you have any fun Halloween traditions? YES! This year is the 31st time I've celebrated this tradition... My Birthday!!
5. Share a scary local urban legend. There's a local country cemetery that gets the brunt of the "ghost stories". A little chapel that used to be at the cemetery burnt down and some people say a man died in the fire and he haunts the grounds... which I guess isn't true no one died in the fire. There are stories of a runaway baby carriage, a dog, a group of people under the shelter that stands where the chapel used to be. My husband took his dog there as a teenager and she would not set foot in the cemetery. She planted her feet and pulled backwards on the leash. She sensed something... but she wasn't the bravest dog!
6. Would you rather be haunted or haunting? Neither!! I'm a big baby, don't like scary things, ghost stories, etc.
7. What's your favorite Halloween character/ creature? (dracula, witch, ghost, etc) Witches but the cute kiddy kind, not the scary kind.

Mudroom Makeover: Part 1

Last Thursday I decided I really wanted to take the old ripped indoor/outdoor carpet off the mudroom stairs and hopefully paint them. That little simple idea turned into a full fledged budget makeover.

The mudroom serves several purposes in this house. It is the closest entrance from our detached garage so we never use the front door because it would involve passing the side door, walking halfway down the driveway, up the porch stairs and in the front door. The mudroom also houses the basement stairs and like any mudroom, it is our general storage area - coats, shoes, dog food, etc.

On Thursday, the room looked like this after we took the carpet off the stairs and found a mess. This is at the bottom landing by the side door. Lovely paneling huh? It goes so perfect with the peel and stick red brick linoleum don't you think?
View from the kitchen looking back down the stairs. Our general catch-all room.
A different view looking into the kitchen.
This is how it looked on Friday after I pulled the baseboards off and started priming. I would have much rather hired someone to completely gut the room and drywall but we're trying to keep this a budget makeover so yes, I painted the paneling. The mudroom is also known as Crystal's room (the dog that keeps showing up in the pictures.) She lays on that little bench in the window and watches the world go by. She's not too happy about being displaced from her room for the weekend.
This was the view Saturday after more painting and pulling the carpet up on the top landing. The bad and the ugly. More dirty, brittle, broken peel and stick laminate tiles.
Sunday involved more and more painting and more cleaning and prep work.

7 Questions

Happy Wednesday! It's 7 questions time! Head on over to Gentri's blog and link up!

1. Describe your perfect day. Being able to spend the day with my husband and both my girls. It doesn't matter what it is, a walk, a drive, playing in the park.
2.What was something that you were afraid of as a child? The dark, spiders and monsters at the end of my bed that were going to get my toes.
3. What's something you're afraid of today? The dark, spiders, heights, elevators, being alone... should I go on? I have way too many fears.
4. Would you rather be obsessed with yourself or someone else? Being obsessed with myself might actually help me feel good about myself. I'm so obsessed with my girls already that I don't leave much time for myself. Like I tried to go shopping for clothes for myself yesterday and I kept ending up in the little girls clothes!
5. What is a favorite restaurant that you could visit over and over and never get sick of? This little diner across the border that we go to for breakfast. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and I've only ever had breakfast there. It's nothing special, just a cute little old diner. (We live by the Indiana/Michigan border, so across the border is Michigan. Ironic because I grew up on the Kansas/Missouri border. I've never lived in the middle of a state.)
6. What is one food you used to hate but now enjoy? Green olives.
7. Fill in the blank: Star ________. Star Song

And the required funny picture of myself. Probably funnier to me. I was trying to teeter-totter with Miss L. Trying to stay on and get her all the way to the ground.

Applesauce Production

I've got a big production going in the kitchen right now and it's really making me feel like myself again. The whole world stopped when I was pregnant with Miss G just to make sure that she stayed put and was healthy and then I only had a very small garden this year. Oh how I've missed all of it! My husband and the girls and I went to the apple orchard this morning and picked 20+lbs of apples and then bought another variety in their market that wasn't able to be picked. Now the rest of my Friday is going to be spent making applesauce. I don't like making applesauce with one straight variety. I think it gives it a better flavor if you mix two or more varieties. Normally I go for a Gala/Fuji mix but this year I'm doing a Gala/Golden Delicious mix because Goldens were the only variety we could pick today that we like.

7 Questions

Whew! A little late in the day but here it is. If you haven't already, go on over to Gentri's blog and link up too!

1. Do you ever have reoccurring dreams? I will have dreams on the same subject, but not the exact same dream. Usually something that has me agitated or stressed. I used to not remember dreams very often but when I was pregnant the last time I started remembering what I had dreamed about all the time. It's slowed down a little but way more than I used to.
2. It's the first day of Fall (or Spring for you southern hemispherers) in a few days, what are you looking forward to most? The crunch of the leaves, the cool air, sweatshirts, boots, warm drinks and Halloween! I love Halloween. It's my birthday!
3. Because a lack of coordination, would you rather not be able to tie your shoes or cut your own food? Not be able to tie my shoes. There are plenty of cute slip on shoes!
4. Would you rather live in a house made entirely of glass or a house with no windows? A house made of glass. I couldn't go without sunlight streaming in the house. And I could sew up a bunch of cute curtains!
5. Would you rather walk on you toes or heels forever? Toes.
6. What's your favorite sense? (you have 5 btw) This is a hard question for me... I love sight of course so I can see my beautiful daughters. I have an over sensitive sense of smell sometimes that drives my husband crazy but there are so many things I'm thankful I can smell.
7. What's your favorite movie quote of all time? I don't really have one. My husband on the other hand could give you a million of them. I'm not a huge movie watcher, wierd I know.

And...... the funny picture of myself. I'm cracking up at this. So you know how I've been bugging my husband to take more pictures of me? This is what he took.... Miss G and I fell asleep on the living room floor.

7 Questions

First of all, go over to Gentri's blog and link up with the 7 questions!!

Second, thanks for coming by to read my answers to her questions! Hope you're having a great day!

1. Do you have any weird food combinations that you love? Applesauce with potato chip crumbs! It has to be the crumbs at the bottom of the bag. Crushing up chips is just not the same. Preferably plain ruffle potato chip crumbs.
2. Have you ever written a blog post, published it, then immediately deleted it? I don't think so. I have written posts, saved them and deleted them before I published them.
3. What is a hair style you wish you could pull off, but would never be brave enough to try?
Anything involving a bold color. I've never died my hair, not even highlights.
4. Would you rather have to always use the sun to tell the time or directions by the stars? Use the sun to tell time. I don't even own a watch so I think I could survive.
5. What is a fall trend that you are excited to try?
Boots!! I am excited for boots! I just need to buy some. Like these:

6. Who is your style icon?Pinterest!! Haha... no seriously, I couldn't tell you a name, just the things I search on Pinterest. That's where I found those boots of course!

7. What's your favorite outdoor activity?
Taking a walk in the woods, around the neighborhood, on the beach. I used to really like taking Atv drives with my husband around his family's property when I had my own Atv but we sold it when Miss L was born. Can't wait to get our own property and get another!

And the required picture of myself... I found one! Aren't you proud of me?? Me being a penguin with Miss L from our vacation this summer.

Electronic Cleaning

Does anyone else have a bad habit of letting emails pile up? Junk, personal, important, read, unread, doesn't matter what kind but they all start piling up and all of the sudden you have 5,000 emails? Yeah, that's me! I decided to do some electronic cleaning yesterday and today and I cleaned out my Etsy messages, Facebook messages, work emails and personal emails. I feel a weight off of me!! Okay not really, but it feels really nice to log into my email and not see 5,000 emails in my inbox. It's just one of those things I had to stop and just take care of and now I just need to be better about deleting or filing things as they come in.

Are you clean or messy when it comes to electronic messages?

Kitchen Aid Mixer Makeover

Have you seen the painted kitchen aid mixers going around Pinterest? I've been drooling over how amazing they look with a custom paint job but I don't really have the extra money to get mine painted. My Kitchen Aid has been around for about 9 years now and always wished it was one of those fun bright colors but I'm starting to think it's probably better that it's white so I can change the look of it as my kitchen or mood changes. If you do have a Cricut or Silhouette or one of the home craft type vinyl cutters I'm sure this is something that you can probably make yourself but I don't have either of those machines so I don't know the details of exactly how.

What do you think about how she looks now? I'm sure I'll change it a million times though!

Office Makeover: Part 2

I hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day weekend. We were going to tackle painting the garage but we were predicted to get rain for 3 days so thought it was best to postpone that big of a project and work on something smaller instead. In the end, we probably could have painted the garage on Sunday and Monday because we barely got any rain and it was just on Saturday. Back in August I showed you some sneak peaks of my office makeover. Our "little" project over the weekend was to complete start building the new desk for the office area. The plan to complete the desk went out the window when we starting having equipment problems. We finally ended up going to Sears and buying a $30 Craftman Evolv jigsaw, which I have to tell you that I can make pretty straight cuts with it all by myself! So proud of that!
All we were able to  build was the legs. I did all of the cutting, drilling and screwing myself with just holding help from my husband. We are making this desk based on the Narrow Farmhouse Table plans on www.ana-white.com. It won't be exactly like the plans as we've modified it to fit our space, our needs and the size of the pre-cut top we will be using but the plan was a great guide to build the type of desk we wanted.

*I am not affiliated with Sears or Craftsman. I purchased the Evolve saw with $30 of my own money.

7 Questions #20

1. Hamburger or Hotdog? (veggie versions count)  Hamburger

2. If you had to live on any other planet in our solar system, besides Earth, which would you choose? If it was actually a livable planet I'd say Saturn. The rings are cool.

3. Share a photo of an outfit that represents your personal style, please. (doesn't have to be of you) I really don't have a style. I'm stuck in more of a "these are the clothes I have to wear because I don't have any money to buy new ones and they are so old and I don't really like any of them - style". So I'm going to dream. If I could get rid of everything in my closet and start over and be ME it would start with something like this that I found on Pinterest.
4. Would you rather get ready for the day or get ready for bed? Get ready for bed.

5. You have to choose between never having eyelashes or never having eyebrows, which would you choose? Eyebrows, you can always pencil them in, right? I have super sensitive eyes and don't think I could do fake eyelashes. I can't even stand mascara.

6. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Well... since I'm 30 I feel like I'm already "grown up" and I'm a mom. If I could pick something else it would be a small scale organic farmer.

7. Do you set your clocks right on time, or a few minutes ahead or behind? Every clock except my alarm clock is set right on time. The alarm clock it usually a few minutes ahead.

And the required funny picture.... I'm digging. I was being completely serious last week that no one takes pictures of me. If I find one before the day is over I'll add it to the post.

7 Questions #19

Ok, not #19 from me but it's #19 from Gentri Lee! Stop over and check out her 7 Questions this week.

1. Bold or Understated? Understated... kind of goes along with me just liking to be in the background of the world.
2. You have to survive alone in the wild and you only get to take one thing with you. Your choices are: A Pocket Knife, a Water Bottle, or a Book. Which do you choose and why? A water bottle. I always have a water bottle in my purse, in the car or somewhere close by.
3. Thirty Two Cows, Seven Eight Chickens, How Many Didn't? Huh? Am I the only one whose brain was hurt by thinking about this? Can you tell I was and still am horrible at math?
4. Would you rather die doing one legendary act of service or do small acts of kindness that may go unnoticed every day? Small acts of kindness... more explanation of the understated thing.
5. Happiness is ________. (one word; fill in the blank) laughter. (Specifically a baby's first laugh! I just heard my daughter's first laugh last week and it was the most joyful thing.)
6. Can you laugh with out smiling? Definitely not.
7. Do you pop your knuckles? No, never figured out how people actually pop their knuckles or anything else themselves. I let my chiropractor do that for me.

Someone REALLY needs to start taking pictures of me. I am NEVER in any pictures and my husband is a photographer but I am always the only one taking family photos. Someone please bug him to take more pictures with me in them. Today you get one of my daughters on our way home from vacation... the sun was coming in her window and this was her solution. She was under there playing her handheld game system.

The Countdown

Last week, Miss L and I started counting down the days until Kindergarten started. But today she woke up to this:
My first baby, my tiny 2 1/2lb preemie, my big grown up girl started all day kindergarten today and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. Now don't get me wrong I'm sure in a few weeks I'll have found plenty of things to do - grocery shopping, cooking, sewing, cleaning... a little nap maybe when Miss G is napping. But for today, I'm not quite sure what to do.

Office Makeover Progress

Since the girls and I arrived back home I've been giving my office(which resides in our bedroom) a budget makeover in preparation of reopening my etsy shop. Miss G is almost 4 months old and Miss L starts kindergarten soon so it's about time Mama got back to work. The first step was getting Evie moved into what is now the girl's room. Second step is getting Mama moved back into her own room without pushing the husband out. Here's a few sneak peaks of the progress that you will see when it all comes together.

I finally found a place for a handmade wedding gift we received. Almost 9 years later it finally has a safe home where I can see it!
Am I crazy that I can't wait to get back to work?

Summer Vacation

The girls and I just spent almost the entire month of July back home with my family. We had so much fun! Little Miss G got lots of love and lots of cuddle time. Miss L had lots of playing time with her favorite aunt and I had lots of sewing time with my mom working on unfinished projects I brought along. Every time I go there lately I wonder why I ever wanted to leave.

Sweetness of Spring

I didn't get to plant much of a garden this year with being really pregnant and now taking care of a newborn but I am getting to enjoy some delicious sweetness from the strawberries plants we put in last year. The plants have grown tremendously and we're getting at least quadruple the berries than we got last year. They are oh so sweet and delicious!

And in case you didn't notice, I tweaked my blog design a little bit. Not a huge change but it needed a little freshening up.

7 Questions!!

Better late than never! It's still Wednesday so it is time for 7 Questions from Gentri Lee!

1. If you were to start your own business, what would it be?
I would love to just make money sewing and crafting anything I felt like making. When I've done things in the past (I used to sew and sell dog collars) I got burnt out on making the same thing over and over again. When I open my Etsy shop back up after this pregnancy/newborn baby hiatus, I am going to make all the random things I'm in the mood to make. I have more fun and it's way more enjoyable when I make things as I'm inspired not because I have to stay in a set category.

2. You wake up on the wrong side of the bed, do you embrace your grumpiness or try to fight it?
Fighting it is usually a lost cause, when I'm grumpy, I'm grumpy.

3. What's the very first memory you have?
Hmmm I don't know about the first, I have faint memories of preschool and being little at my grandparents for different holidays.

4. the world is ending, what do you do? Allow yourself to die? Fight? Hide? Etc.
Hide, I'm a scaredy cat.

5. What is your favorite meal of the day?
Breakfast, I LOVE cereal.

6. How do you best learn? Visual? Listening? Hands on?
Definitely a visual learner, the more pictures or videos the better!

7. What is your favorite joke?
This is my 5 year old's favorite: What's black and white and yellow?...........................A bus full of zebras

And I can't forget the required funny photo. I'm working through our 2011 family photos putting together a photo book to order for the year and this is from Christmas. Funny because I'm wearing penguin pj pants (that I made) and a big pink scarf!

7 Questions

Ahhh it's good to be back and it's Wednesday which means 7 Questions from Gentri Lee!
1. What's your favorite style for home decor? (eclectic, modern, shabby chic, etc.)
Rustic/Country/Earthy
2. What is the best trip you have EVER been on?
All of my childhood vacations, seriously. We saw so much of the west the US, camped by rushing mountain streams, traveled and camped in Canada. Road trips as a kid were the best! There are a lot of the trips I don't remember but I'm hoping to repeat some of those trips with my family.
3. If you could have an exotic pet, what would it be and why?
A hedgehog... is that exotic?? I think they are so cute!! But I know I'll probably never get one because I have hound dogs.
4. Do you snore? (you can be honest, we're all friends here.)
Yes, I snore and I also talk in my sleep.
5. Your car breaks down on the side of the road, what do you do?
Panic, then hope I have a cell phone with me to call my husband or one of his uncles.
6. What's one item that has been on your wishlist lately?
A jigsaw... yes, I want a saw. I LOVE www.ana-white.com and want to build sooo many more things but my husband really isn't into it and I'm intimidated by our big 30 year old circular saw so I want a jig saw so I can do some small projects without his help.
7. It's almost Summer (or winter if you live in the Southern Hemisphere), what are you looking forward to most?
Our summer is going to be completely crazy!! But I'm hoping to do some fun little things with my girls while my husband is training for his new job position - go to the zoo, maybe go visit family and do some fun crafty things with my 5 year old. I want to relax and enjoy!!
And for the funny photo you get my totally unflattering "I'm about to pop", one of the last photos of me pregnant.

Little Girl's Hairstyle

Hello again blogging world! It's been a month now since my sweet Miss G was born and I'm feeling mostly normal. I've regained most of the feeling in both of my hands, just waiting on my finger tips. And I'm carrying around 10 extra pounds that I need to find a way to shed after my 6 week checkup. Other than the lack of sleep, I'm feeling pretty normal. I am so blessed to have 2 beautiful daughters in my life. Today was Miss L's last day of preschool so I felt it only fitting to have a special hair-do for the day. I saw something similar to this on Pinterest but the pin didn't lead anywhere. I just parted her hair on the side and divided 3 little sections off, tied each of them with a rubber band loosely and then flipped it through like an old flipped pony tail. Did anyone else use to have one of those plastic tools that helped you flip your pony tail?

Little Miss G surprised us 5 weeks early! I am in LOVE! She is the sweetest baby and to top it off she has her daddy's eyes!

The Joys of Pregnancy Pains

Right when I get on a roll having lots of blog posts scheduled I was hit with some arm and hand problems last week. Staying off of the computer and not sewing are two things I've had to do to get some relief from the apparent pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome. Heading back to the chiropractor tomorrow for hopefully some more relief. My awesome chiropractor has given me more relief than my ObGyn telling me to just elevate my hands and arms. Great idea and all but that just makes my fingers even more numb.... and no I'm not suppose to be on here right now, but hopefully I'll see you all back very soon! Baby will be here a month from today tops!

Ta-Da! Baby Storage!

Whew! We made it through putting the Sauder cabinet together without arguing. Nick does not like to put things together like this and I actually kind of enjoy seeing something come together but I read the instructions and Nick did all the hard work and ta-da we have baby storage! Here it is in it's place where my old dresser used to be. I can't really change my mind about where it goes now since Nick already anchored it to the wall.
Here is all the of the glorious storage it has! Yes, glorious. When you live in an old house, extra storage is a glorious thing!

I have rearranged the adjustable shelves so many times and probably will again. I went to Big Lots again looking for some storage baskets with no such luck. Their selection of storage and organizational items was lacking. While I was there though I picked up a small tension rod that I'm hoping will be able to handle a few hanging baby clothes. Even with the rod installed, I was able to space the shelves out to allow ample storage on the shelves. Now comes the fun part. I'm off to fill it up with baby things!

Easter treats

After our first school spring break week it has sure been hard to get back into a routine! I didn't get to do all the things I had originally planned for her since I wasn't feeling well. On the Saturday before Easter we dyed some eggs while Nick put in a new bathroom sink with the help of one of his uncles.
I made this bunny cake on Saturday too for Sunday's Easter gathering but Nick only had time to snap one photo on Sunday before it was completely devoured from nose to tail (except those paper ears of course!). The side view looked way more like a bunny than this front view. It wasn't as short and fat as it looks.

The Great Furniture Swap

Baby has less than 6 weeks before we get to meet him or her so even though we still have faith that God is going to bring a buyer for this house, even if it's after the baby is born, we need to make a few moves to be prepared for baby to arrive in this house. First swap was moving my childhood dresser and mirror into L's room. This is what her room looked liked previously looking out into the hallway. These are real-life photos of our house! No cleaning up just for the pictures here.
And this is what it looks like now with my old dresser. That dresser is so much more appropriate for a little girl's room. Yes, there is a dog on a bed in the doorway. No, she does not normally sleep in a doorway. On another note I REALLY want to change the paint color in her room but I'm trying to refrain myself because we are going to sell this house and I'll get to decorate a new room for her!
Now over to our room...
L's old dresser is now tucked into the bottom of our closet. The short little wall next to the closet is where my dresser used to sit. Yes, it did block a little of the closet but hey, we're working with 866 sq ft with 2 adults, 2 dogs and soon to be 2 kids. And our bedroom also serves as an office so there was no other place for it. The wall where the dresser used to sit needs to serve as storage for the baby so we went to several furniture stores looking at real furniture but came home with this Sauder cabinet from Big Lots that needs to be put together. This is the closest picture I could find, ours is the same except the handles are rounded.
The dog bed and our greyhound sitting in the hallway are usually in front of our closet too but they were just temporarily moved while we put this cabinet together. Although I do need to figure out a new spot for Lindy to sleep, probably in L's room.

Handmade Nursery: Crib Sheets

Yesterday I set up a tab on my blog for the Handmade Nursery. When we sell this house and start decorating new rooms there will be lots more posts of putting an actual nursery together but for now it's more a list of all the parts and pieces I've been working on. When I was putting the list together I realized that I never posted about the crib sheets I made. So here are the three I made using THIS tutorial and the Fox Trails line of fabric from Doohikey Designs.

Handmade Nursery: Bath Time!

I was in a sewing mood yesterday and my crazy pregnant brain thought it would be a good idea to make an Easter dress for L. I had fabric and a pattern ready until I remembered this skirt that I made her back in February! How could I have completely forgotten I had something sewn and ready hanging in her closet already for Easter? I'm blaming it on the crazy pregnant brain! Since I was already in the sewing mood I went back to my baby sewing to-do list and whipped up this hooded bath towel.
Since baby is still growing(thank goodness!) Bearemy decided to be my model.
I used a tutorial found HERE that I have had pinned onto my baby board. I've been trying to make Pinterest a little more practical than my bookmarks in the web browser. They usually end up a mess of things I never end up trying and I lose the ones I've actually made and liked. On Pinterest, once I've sewn a tutorial or pattern I liked, I move it over to my Successful Sewing board where I make a comment on how it went, if I changed anything, etc. The one other thing I did do differently on the towel other than rounding the corners was how I top-stitched the towel. I started and stopped (see photo below) where I had top-stitched the triangle piece. The flannel and terry cloth is very thick together and going through 4 layers would have been tough. I also think that the triangle will stay more rounded for the top of a bitty head to dry under. Because of the thickness of the fabrics again I thought if I had been able to top-stitch it that it would have flattened the hood part too much.
I'm not sure if this is too girly if the baby is a boy? I've made a receiving blanket out of the same fabric and have enough left to make some more burp cloths and wash cloths. What do you think? I have some obvious boy or girl fabrics I've sewn up that I figure I'll just donate or give to someone I know whichever gender isn't appropriate but I'm not sure about this fabric. I asked Nick but he wasn't much help!
